Movie News Today

A few days ago Pixar announced it was scrapping a 2012 product called "Newt." They've just released some of the artwork and it looks as good as you'd expect it would.

Ridley Scott talks with The Independent about the upcoming "Aliens" prequel. Interesting stuff, though I confess Scott is losing a little of his allure for me lately.

Andrew Garfield, cast as Peter Parker in the upcoming "Spiderman" reboot, discusses the film and his excitement for the project. That's cool and all, I'm just not that into this despite my affinity for dork content. Too soon for a reboot of this franchise. Too soon.

My friend over at Movie Muse delivers an archive review of 2007's "Live Free or Die Hard." We here at the Box Office (and by "we", I mean "me") have some serious love for Bruce Willis and this is one of my favorite action movies even if it does descend into ludicrosity a few times.

A blog I've recently discovered, Dorkosphere (love the name), provides a short article on the merits of Michael Cera. The Cera backlash has been brutal lately and while I agree, he has been type cast, he's darn good at what he does.
