Movie News Today

The Rock has signed on for "Journey to the Center of the Earth 2." In other news, birds of a feather flock together. Crappy movie gets a crappy actor.

An wonderfully written piece on the lack of quick sand related deaths in the movies recently. Brilliant. This is one of those times when I am supremely jealous of the idea another writer has come up with.

My friend over at Movie Muse reviews the summer of 2010 (henceforth known as the Summer That Will Not Be Named) and discusses the best and worst we were treated/subjected to.

I'm not really into this week's "Machete" ("Expendables" hypocrisy aside) but star Danny Trejo is one of the more interesting interviews in Hollywood.

My love of good sci-fi is well known so of course I'm going to pass on a link to iO9's list of the Top 20 Sci-Fi Shows of all time. My top 5? 5. "Battlestar Galactica" 4. "Star Trek the Next Generation 3. "Fringe" 2. "The X-Files" 1. "Firefly." It really is the best sci-fi show. And no one has ever seen it. Sad.
