It certainly centers around Christmas. I'll have to think about that one. John Candy is perfect for his role.<br /><br />The unreal quality of the booby traps and such in the movie are part of the charm. It's a kid's fantasy.<br /><br />For the record I don't hate Will Ferrell. I hate the roles he plays and his adolescent brand of humor.
